A Wedding Under the Trees :: Anne + Marc

March 24th, 2014

Weddings on private estates are at the top of my list for favorite places to shoot weddings. This was family property up in the Santa Ynez valley near Solvang. The landscape in that area is so picturesque with the rolling hills and moss covered trees. I acutally met Anne and Marc while I was photographing a concert (here's a link to the actual show I shot that night of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) So we connected over a love of music and I got to spend a day with them shooting their engagement photos around an old airport Anne's dad was a big part of.

Here are their photos. Loved this wedding:

Big Sur Wedding

March 19th, 2014

Big Sur is up there with one of my favorite places in the world. That drive up the California coastline is stunning, remarkable, amazing, breath taking and a bunch of other big adjectives. I had the pleasure of documenting Neil and Anya as they were wed surrounded by close friends and family.

A French Inspired Wedding

February 10th, 2014

Aaron and Shauna were married in an incredible setting on the California coast. Aaron is a good friend of mine and the team behind their gorgeous event were all friends as well. The team was made up of Jesi Haack with the design, Carissa of JL Designs, 1011 makeup took care of Shauna and her girls, and The Love Riot coordinated the day. And that evening, guests were treated with incredible food by Woah Nelly Catering and DJ JP kept the dancfloor packed. A really fun day to say the least.

I also shot Super8 video during their wedding and put this little film together:

Carondelet House Wedding :: Eric + Kelsey

0
November 23rd, 2013

Carondelet House has become one of my favorite spots for weddings lately. It feels like you're at some great home from the early 1900's, dining in the great living room, cocktail hour out in the courtyard, and the place has so much character, you almost don't need to do a thing to it.

Eric and Kelsey were married there earlier this year and it was such a special wedding to be a part of. The vows they wrote to each other were probably the sweetest I've heard (and I've heard one or two), the the real love between them was beyond evident.

I really do feel lucky getting to be a part of the weddings I'm a part of. This was definitely one of those.

If you haven't seen the newest issue of The Knot magazine, go down to your local bookstore and pick it up. A gorgeous issue and I'm honored to have had one of the real weddings featured in there. I'll be posting more pics from this special wedding in Solvang, CA but here's a teaser for now:
