I've been crazy blessed this year with the most incredible couples. I met with Tara, her mom, sister and coordinator Kelsie Hopkins over spicey margaritas in Manhattan Beach. Loved them all. I then got to go out to Boulder, CO to photograph Tara and Dustin in their hometown, which was another amazing time. You can see pics from that shoot HERE: Part 1 and Part 2.
Their wedding was so heart felt. I love being a part of destination weddings because they're always so intimate. All the guest there are close to the couple and there's an intimacy that makes the day that much more special. Hope you love the photos as much as I do!
From Tara, "we share a love for the ocean, and from day one we always wanted to get married on the beach. We also wanted a place where our friends and family could gather together and "kick it" (as dustin's friends say, haha) for several days - a place that fostered togetherness to offset the typical craziness that often occurs during the wedding week. I found Levyland Estate when perusing a wedding photographer's blog, and I knew immediately that it was the perfect spot for us. It was actually the ONLY venue that I looked at with my mom and sister! "
There's something I especially love about this Polaroid of the two of them.
From Tara, "I loved that we had a whole week at Levyland with our families and friends - it was an incredible week, from cooking large dinners at the house together, to watching the dads put up white lights in all of the trees, to the massive Costco trip. I also loved the entire feel of our wedding. At the end of the day, we both agreed it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Neither of us were overly stressed and we were able to enjoy everything."

This was a fun shoot for Destination I do Magazine, which you need to go get if you don't have a copy yet! The shoot was a colaboration of some incredibly talented vendors with the girls at Inspired By This pulling it all together. Beth Helmsetter was behind the design, with bright and fun colors which complimented a beach setting well. The bride wore Kirstie Kelly wedding gowns and the bridesmaids wore fun, mismatched ModCloth dresses that went along perfectly with all the bright, gorgeous florals by Dolce Designs Studio. Hope you like the shoot!

Annie and Jon were married a few months back at the Marvimon in Los Angeles. Love shooting weddings there and loved this couple. Annie is the sweetest and Jon is an incredibly talented videographer. During the wedding, he screened a film he put together from a several month trip he and Annie took prior to their wedding. It was stunning to watch and loved getting to know the two of them.

Sam and Tricia are one of those couples I really connected with on their engagement shoot and it was so much fun being a part of their Ojai wedding. So casual and warm in personality and a wildly fun bridal party. Some of the most gorgeous flowers by Rockrose Floral Design and details by All You Need is Love Events. So fun looking back on their wedding.
I ended up shooting some video on their wedding day and putting a little re-cap video together for them. Take a watch:

Michelle and Andy had an intimate wedding at San Ysidro Ranch. Just immedite family, stading by, sending love, shedding tears and laughing together. The entire process was beautiful to be a part of. During the toasts, I had to wipe my eyes a few times. The day was perfect!
From Michelle, "My favorite two moments are standing with my dad before I walked down the aisle. We are so incredibly close, and I know what a big moment it was for him to walk his little girl down the aisle. The other was seeing Andy for the first time. I can still see him light up when he saw me and remember how happy and excited I felt in that moment."
