Courtney + Adam :: The Parker Palm Springs

Courtney and Adam are the sweetest and most fun couple! Courtney actually did the flowers for my wedding and my wife and I really connected with her and remained in contact over the years. Since then, Courtney moved to Austrailia and met Adam. Adam, who's not only fun, he's a gentleman and treats Courtney like a queen. I loved watching their relationship.
Being into design, Courtney chose the Parker Palm Springs, a hotel totally re-done by Jonathan Adler with a mid-century modern feel to everything. Just look at the lobby to get a good feel for how rad this venue is. Courtney has her own design company you should check out called Coco Sea Studio.

The whole day was amazing. But one of my "TOP" favourites would be standing at the altar while my Uncle was marrying us. But also the moment of walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Adams face was another priceless moment. Ohh geeze and then not to mention my amazing "blonde-tourage" of bridesmaids. Getting to be with all of my closest friends for a whole day was priceless as it is rare I even get to see them every year now with living on the otherside of the world. Over all the whole day was absolutely magical having all of our family and friends from both countries come together and mix and mingle, drink tequila and dance the night away was unforgettable.
On the planning process, "the first step to my inspirations were colour. We are not matchy matchy kind of people so we did not want one colour to be the main colour. I also LOVE colour so I needed more than just a few! From there everything else came together."

Shannon + Brian :: The Parker Palm Springs

Shannon and Brian were married at the Parker Palm Springs and it was incredible. I love shooting weddings there to begin with, then you add a gorgeous couple, with fun friends, it makes for a pretty amazing day. Neither Shannon or Brian are too hard on the eyes and they both have great style. Here are a few notes on their reasons for choosing the Parker:
"Brian and I wanted to choose a venue that would reflect our personality as a couple. It was important that we picked a location that was intimate, elegant and chic while remaining simple and understated. We both love Palm Springs and the old Hollywood vibe that is associated with it. We were not sure exactly what our venue would look like until we stepped foot in the Parker; we loved the architecture, the lush gardens and grounds, the decor and the romantic, magical feeling it exuded."
From Shannon, "one of our favorite moments was our first look. We both had reservations with the first look, initially wanting to be more traditional and see each other for the first time when I walked down the aisle. However, the first look ended up easing our anxiety and allowed us to begin our day having fun with one another taking portraits. Honestly though, we both had smiles from ear to ear the entire day. There was not a moment we did not enjoy."
From Shannon, "Brian has a huge heart. I love the way he loves me, others, and life. As my sister pointed out in her speech at the wedding, plain and simple, he makes me melt :)"

"We found the fabric for the runners at the garment district in LA and my mom made all of them. The silver candlesticks we found at vintage stores all over Orange County; we had the help of my family who participated in that scavenger hunt. The menus, name cards, seating charts...all print materials aside from the invitations were designed and printed by Brian and I."
"The inspiration for our decor was to capture the romantic, old Hollywood feeling of Palm Springs in its hay-day. The grounds alone are stunning and so our intention was to complement the existing ambiance without detracting from it. My personal motto is less is more." - Shannon
