Kristin + Rishi :: An Indian Wedding

0
September 28th, 2011

Kristin and Rishi were one of my favorite couples this year. I was able to go up to San Francisco to shoot their engagement photos and spend the day with them before their wedding. For their wedding, they actually had two full days of celebration. The first, which you're viewing now was an Indian ceremony, which was beautiful. Rishi rode in on a horse with a full entourage singing and dancing their way up to the ceremony. Brooke Keegan was the coordinator and designer for both weddings and love working with her team. Enjoy the story:

Cat + Pickle :: A Los Angeles Engagement

January 24th, 2011

This was such a fun shoot. I spent the afternoon with Cat and Pickle, walking and driving around LA to get a variety of looks and locations in their shoot. I love engagement shoots because it gives me a chance to get to know a couple a bit more before their wedding. I end up showing up to their wedding and we already have a relationship. I'm excited to see them, they're excited to see me, and I feel like the pictures reflect that relationship. This was one of those shoots and I'm so looking forward to their wedding later this year!!

Max + Molly :: A Rustic Wedding

May 15th, 2011

Max and Molly's wedding was incredible to be a part of. Molly is an amazing musician and Max is about as hip as you can get. They are a couple so in love, it's hard not to notice....and that's refreshing. It makes documenting a wedding that much more special, because it is so special to them. To show you what I mean, here's what Molly said when I asked why she loved Max, "But the thing that made me want to marry Max was the way he treated me. Never before have I been treated with such respect and love by a man. Never have I been so cherished and taken care of. I have never felt more myself and never been pushed so much to be a better person, daughter, sister, friend, lover. Max makes me a better me. I wouldn't want to be anyone else and I wouldn't want to be that with anyone other than Max."

Molly's thoughts process in finding their venue, "We wanted an outdoorsy feel for our wedding and Max works for the Boy Scouts so we started looking at all the Boy Scout camps in the So Cal area and found this one. It was perfectly tucked away in the hills of Orange County so we could be as loud as we wanted for as long as we wanted and we were able to use the camp all weekend so we stayed there the night before and after. It also had a little amphitheater which was perfect for the ceremony. It was the perfect venue!"

There is nothing better than natural beauty and this couple has that! Beautiful wedding, simple and you did a great job at giving us that hippie-style vibe from them. LOVE IT!
