My blog has been incredibly neglected this past year. I've been shooting a ton and have things from last January that should be blogged but still haven't. That's a whole other issue I'm mentally dealing with is that I'd rather blog things right away but at the same time, I'm submitting most of my work to various blogs and publications. Generally in that case, I find it better to hold off blogging for their sake. But now I find myself getting crazy behind or forgetting about posts in the past. Do you experience the same mental tension? What are your thoughts?
Then there's my family. I shoot them everywhere we go and love the pics. I tend to not post as many on my blog because this is the showcase of my work...but at the same time, my family is the biggest part of me and I think they're pretty dang cute. I'm planning to post more of them too. Do you want to see more or less family?? Thoughts on posting personal work?
For now, here's an afternoon at the beach with my little gang! Love them.
All shot on a Pentax k1000, 50mm 2.0 lens, Fuji Superia 200 processed at Richard Photo Lab.

Little boys love their Mammas. They get sad, they reach for mom. They want comfort, they reach for mom. Over the past couple months, Declan started saying "Daa Da". Just this last week, the tables have turned. Declan loves his dad! He's saying Daa da to me and means it. We've had some fun working on my motorcycle's in the garage, throwing rocks, and chasing birds at the beach. Lindsay says when I leave for work, he roams around the house saying Daa Daa, Daa Daa....warms my heart. And when I come home, I get the biggest grin and a tight hug around my neck. Life doesn't get better in those moments!
Helping Dad wash Mom's car. So freeking cute.
Declan LOVES his grandpa, and Grandpa loves Declan.
Makes any dad proud! I've been working on that other bike behind us. Declan helps with the screw drivers, tries to lick the exhaust pipe...you know. stuff like that.
And I couldn't resist when I saw those shoes lying next to each other.
Not to make the rest of the country jealous, but this is what our winter here in Southern California. This was a rough January day.

"Pretty dang cute" Understatement of the year. More of anything on the blog is always good! :)
Of course I love the shots of your family and they do still show off your amazing talent as a photographer. The first one of just Declan and the water is beautiful. The tones of blue and silver are stunning.
Love the photos of your precious family! Keep them coming! :)
