A Sunstone Villa Wedding in Los Olivos

1
September 11th, 2013

I had the honor of being featured in Destination I Do Magazine with a wedding that I loved, held at Sunstone Villa in Los Olivos. Sunstone is such a specail venue tucked away inland of Santa Barbara. You walk up to the place and feel like you're in the Italian countryside, staying at some old, beautiful home. And if you haven't checked out Destination I Do Magazine, go to their site and look for the mag in a store. This wedding was planned by Rani Hoover, who puts together some of the most stunning events and is so fun to work with! And to Diana and Cyrus, congrats to the two of you. It was so much fun documenting your day and was honored to have been a part of it!

Palm Springs Wedding in Destination:W Magazine

August 21st, 2013

So honored to have this Palm Springs wedding I shot featured in the beautiful Destination:W Magazine. This was a really fun wedding held at the Viceroy in Palm Springs, which is one of my favorite spots in the desert. Love the modern, midcentury feel. If you haven't seen Destination:W yet, go to their site and flip through the whole mag. Beautifully designed. This wedding was designed and planned by LVL Events who are so fun to work with! Hope you love the pics.

Here's a link to view the whole mag:

Tara + Dustin :: A California Beach Wedding

4
April 8th, 2013

I've been crazy blessed this year with the most incredible couples. I met with Tara, her mom, sister and coordinator Kelsie Hopkins over spicey margaritas in Manhattan Beach. Loved them all. I then got to go out to Boulder, CO to photograph Tara and Dustin in their hometown, which was another amazing time. You can see pics from that shoot HERE: Part 1  and  Part 2.

Their wedding was so heart felt. I love being a part of destination weddings because they're always so intimate. All the guest there are close to the couple and there's an intimacy that makes the day that much more special. Hope you love the photos as much as I do!

From Tara, "we share a love for the ocean, and from day one we always wanted to get married on the beach. We also wanted a place where our friends and family could gather together and "kick it" (as dustin's friends say, haha) for several days - a place that fostered togetherness to offset the typical craziness that often occurs during the wedding week. I found Levyland Estate when perusing a wedding photographer's blog, and I knew immediately that it was the perfect spot for us. It was actually the ONLY venue that I looked at with my mom and sister! "

There's something I especially love about this Polaroid of the two of them.

From Tara, "I loved that we had a whole week at Levyland with our families and friends - it was an incredible week, from cooking large dinners at the house together, to watching the dads put up white lights in all of the trees, to the massive Costco trip. I also loved the entire feel of our wedding. At the end of the day, we both agreed it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Neither of us were overly stressed and we were able to enjoy everything."

- Love the photo of the shoes! It reminds me of a fenird (the groom) who when kneeling at the alter, his "friends" had unknowingly put "HELP ME" on the soles of his shoes I like "I DO" much better:)July 30, 2011 5:15 pm
