Kaylee + Scott ::: Married in Dana Point
Posted on June 30, 2010
I’ve been so excited to post this wedding and I hope you all like it as much as I do. Kaylee and Scott are one of those couples that warm my heart. They are so fun, so sweet and genuine. Scott is an Aussie who came to college in the States where he met Kaylee, whose smile lights up the room. Take a peek and let me know what you think.
To start, I love that she wore Toms shoes under her wedding dress! If you don’t know about Toms, look up their website.

Kristina + Ben ::: An Arizona Wedding
Posted on June 7, 2010
After shooting Kristina and Ben’s Engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be a blast. Kristina is originally from Arizona but ended up out in California where she met Ben. Now Ben is a character. So much fun and such an amazing heart. Their friends were amazing and made the day so much fun.
Big thanks to Josh Snyder for assisting and second shooting out in Arizona. The ceremony was held at a chruch Kristina’s grandfather built and the reception was at The Phoenician in Phoenix, AZ.

Just before the ceremony, we were shooting some photos out front and all these kids were poking their heads through the fence trying to see what was going on. I had Kristina stand by them and this is what we captured. Almost no set up.

Not a bad looking couple!

Because the ceremony was much later in the day and we wouldn’t have any light for portraits, Ben and Kristina decided to see each other before the ceremony. The next few photos are during that ‘first look’ time.

Patti + Adam ::: Portraits from a Thursday Wedding
Posted on June 3, 2010
Patti and Adam are from Ohio and decided on a destination wedding for immediate family only in Laguna Beach. The days before their wedding were some of the windiest of the winter but for their wedding day, it was absolutely gorgeous. Being that it is not quite summer and choosing a Thursday for their wedding, they had the beach totally to themselves. It was so fun being a part of their ceremony and here are some photos from the day.

They brought these props and I loved it. So funny and creative.

Samantha + Michael ::: Married
Posted on May 24, 2010
Samantha and Michael’s wedding was spectacular. Classy and elegant are two words that come to mind. And those two words describe the couple as well. Their wedding was around 380 people which made for a really fun reception. Here are some photos from their wedding. It was such an honor being a part of it.

This might be my favorite ‘getting ready’ shot to date. I love how she’s standing and love her mom’s hands holding her dress.

Their ceremony was held at the new and lovely St. Mark in Newport Beach.

The reception was held at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach. A favorite Orange County venue. Love the white against the yellow.

This was my favorite shot of Samantha dancing with her dad.

This was one of my favorite parts of the night. The groom with all of his groomsmen took the mike and serenaded the crowd with ‘Piano Man’.

Laura + Ray ::: A Plantation Wedding in Plymouth, MA
Posted on May 18, 2010
Laura and Ray are one of those couples, who after shooting their engagement photos, I knew I would be into a treat for their wedding. Laura, who is now living out in California is from Plymouth and knew the beauty of the area. She got ready with all of her bridesmaids at the home she grew up in, which was so special for her. She had a great tree lined back yard with several hundred year old roads leading back to little ponds. We explored it all.

Laura was such a relaxed bride. This was one of the ponds behind her house. As she was walking out to the end of the doc, a four foot snake slithered up there. She almost fell in and I scared it off.

This was one of those several hundred year old roads. Back from the pilgrim days.

How’s this for your ceremony site? Couldn’t get much better.

I love this shot on the left. My wife Lindsay took it as Laura and her dad peeked through the bushes at all the people waiting for them to walk down the isle.

Ray looking lovingly at his bride walking down the isle.

Dottie + Jordan :: Engaged!
Posted on April 7, 2010
Dottie and Jordan are an amazing couple. I met Dottie as she was doing make-up at a wedding I was photographing almost two years ago. Since then, we’ve both had each other work on our own personal projects. Her company is called Cheek Couture and if you need make-up and or hair at your wedding, definitely contact her.
Through Dottie, I’ve gotten to know Jordan. He plays pro-football for the Cincinnati Bengals, but if I didn’t already know that, he appears to be a southern California surfer (which he is). So fun, so laid back and a good guy to know. Their wedding is going to be an absolutely amazing weekend in Lake Tahoe and I can’t wait to be a part of it. I got to meet most of their friends and family at their engagement party and I know for sure it is going to be a fun crowd. Congrats guys and I can’t wait to see you in July.

These last two are pretty grainy as most of these are shot on film but I like these last two as grainy as they are. Hope you do too.
