Now here is an absolutely beautiful baby girl. Little piper is absolutely stunning with that dark head of hair. If you didn’t see it, make sure you check out the maternity session I shot of Rachelle and Michael before they had Piper. Such a fun couple and I was so honored to photograph them and their baby. Definitely girlfriend potential for little Declan!!

Declan’s 1st Birthday!!

I can’t believe my son is already turning one. It has been such a whirlwind and gone so fast. He was born a ball of energy and hasn’t stopped moving since. Laughs more than any baby I’ve met, has so much personality and I love him. I’m a bit biased but I think he’s the cutest thing in the world. Being that I shoot photos now and again, Declan is a well documented baby. Going through files, these are some of my favorite photos from his first year.
Happy birthday little buddy! You make my life brighter. I love you. Love dad.

Rachelle + Michael (and Piper)

This was such a fun and special shoot for me. Rachelle is co-owner of Wiley Valentine – a stationary and invitation design company that does absolutely incredible work. If you need an invite made for any occasion, definitely check out their work. We wanted to do something fun and a bit different for a maternity shoot. I came up with the idea to bring a bedroom set outdoors, under some trees but wasn’t sure where we would get the furniture. Rachelle loved the idea and knew just the place to get the furniture. Found Vintage Rentals is amazing. I just shot a wedding last weekend and much of the furniture brought in was from Found. They have a huge selection of vintage furniture.
Jesi Haack also helped with some props and brought us these cute headbands from Ink and Button. I love how the shoot came out and hope you do too! Congrats to Rachelle and Michael who just had their baby girl! And her beautiful name: Piper Marie. Love it.

Friday’s Fotos ::: Family Time in Paso Robles

I have been traveling so much the past couple of months and when I’ve been home, I’ve had photo shoots of some sort three to four days a week. It’s all been incredible and great but a little tough on the quality family time. Poor Lindsay has been dealing with a very energetic baby most nights and weekends by herself. She’s a trooper and an incredible mom and I’m a lucky guy to have her and her patience with my schedule. Because of all that, we set up a little mid-week vacation up to the wine country of Paso Robles. Here is some of the film I got back from that trip.
The first photo is a special one I took because Lindsay love’s trees and I love clouds. It’s so beautiful in Paso Robles!

On Easter, my family gathered at my dad’s house and I shot one roll of film. Portraits of my family. Here they are:
This is my dad, and then his dad, my grandfather. I love them both so much. So fun for Declan to still have his great Grandfather around!
Here are both of my grandparents. Both so classy. My grandpa was called Jackie until he met Jackie. They met in 3rd grade. Can you believe it.
And my brother Casey with his sweet girlfriend Casey. Funny, I know.

Birthday Present

How cute is my wife. It’s my birthday this morning and I found this on my desk. She snuck out of the house and had our friend Andrea snap these adorable Fujiroids with our Instax mini. Best present I could have gotten. She is crazy but that’s why I love her! Thanks Linds!! XO

Friday’s Fotos :: Fujiroids

When I was out at SXSW, one of the Fuji reps was out hanging in the Spin Magazine loft shooting little ‘fujiroids’ with the Fuji Instax Mini. I decided to try one out and think I have a new love.
I spend most mornings with my son, Declan, to give mom a little break. We hang out and play for a bit then I give him breakfast. Here are a couple of these Fuji instax shots. Pretty cute if you ask me…but I’m biased.
