WPPI and This Crazy Year
Posted on March 7, 2010
I head off to WPPI this morning (which is a photo trade show for all you non-photographers out there) and I’m so excited to hang with a bunch of my photo friends. It’s such a fun time. If you see me around, definitely come say hi and introduce yourself! I love meeting new people and coming home with new friends.
This is the start to a crazy busy month and then an even crazier year. I’ll be in Vegas this week, home for a three days filled with either photo shoots or engagement shoots, then I’m headed to Austin, TX for the SXSW music festival to shoot some photos of a bunch of bands. Then I’m traveling for a couple engagement shoots and soon enough weddings are starting up. I’ve booked some of the most incredible weddings that I’m really looking forward to this year with some amazing couples. I’ll be shooing in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Lake Tahoe, Baltimore, San Fancisco and more. It’s going to be a good year!
Here’s a shot of me and my wife, Lindsay. This was shot by Sherry-Lu at Jessica Claire’s workshop. Jessica had us as the subjects for the day and we were surrounded by 22 photographers. Looking forward to seeing Jessica’s photos and have loved getting shots from some of the other great photographers that were there:

Friday’s Foto :: Pawnshop Kings
Posted on March 5, 2010
If you don’t know Pawnshop Kings, you need to go see them live when they’re in your home town. If you follow my blog, you’ll know I’m a fan and will see their stuff from time to time. I’ll be down in Austin, TX for SXSW with these boys. Anyone else going to be there?
I shot some video of their new songs the other night and love this one. Check it here:

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Posted on February 9, 2010
I’m in front of the computer most of my days editing and sorting through photos. In that time, I have a couple sites that stream and play amazing music. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is a super fun band that is a must see live. This is an in-studio performance they did for KCRW.com. Hope you love it.

Pawnshop Kings ::: Rehearsal + Concert Coverage
Posted on January 28, 2010
After looking at a bunch of the footage I shot for the Pawnshop Kings last week I decided to piece together a little video. There are some clips of video and then photos of course. I’m not exactly a video editor but hopefully you like it! I love documenting bands so this was a blast. Definitely check out their music – Pawnshopkings.com

Help for Haiti Now ::: Justin Timberlake + Matt Morris
Posted on January 23, 2010
I was watching the Help for Haiti Now program with my wife last night and I was BLOWN away by the performance Justin Timberlake & Matt Morris did of ‘Hallelujah’. I’m a big Jeff Buckley fan and love his version of the song but this version almost brought me to tears it was so beautiful. I had to share it. You can download the performances on iTunes and all of the proceeds go to helping Haiti. Everything helps.

Pawnshop Kings ::: OC Music Awards
Posted on January 22, 2010
Tuesday night, I had the honor of shooting some photos of the Pawnshop Kings as they rehearsed then performed during the Orange County Music Awards. They’re an incredible band live. Their music has a southern rock feel with a gospel twist. It’s beautiful, its raw, and its good. I hope they win. Here are a few pics from the evening played at the Continental Room in Fullerton. Check out their site and music by clicking here.
