Samantha + Michael ::: Engaged!
Posted on October 30, 2009
Samantha and Michael are getting married in April of 2010 and can’t wait for their big day. Getting to photograph couples like Samantha and Michael are why I love my job. I get to meet and shoot some incredible people and have so much fun in the process. I love these photos and hope you do too. Question for you readers out there, do you like the tighter, more zoomed in photos or the more pulled back, wider angle shots? Interested to know. Enjoy.

These last three photos are all shot on film. Can you tell any differences? If so, do you like the film?

Michelle + Dane ::: Engaged
Posted on October 28, 2009
Michelle and Dane are the sweetest! I’m really excited for their Santa Barbara wedding at the Montecito Country Club. The whole wedding will have an ‘urban jungle theme’ which is why this spot was perfect for their engagement session.

These next to photos were shot on film.

Robyn + Ray ::: Married!
Posted on October 24, 2009
Robyn and Ray had their wedding at the fabulous Pacific Club in Newport Beach. I love the Pacific Club! It has a stunning library with old books and a great lounge area that is perfect for portraits. Their ceremony was held at Calvery Chapel Church in Costa Mesa. Heading back from the ceremony, we stopped off the side of the road for some portraits to mix it up a bit. Which portraits do you like better and why??

I shot this with Illford HP5 black and white film.

Here’s another shot on film.

Baby Dylan
Posted on October 21, 2009
Shooting photos of baby Dylan was so fun for me because he is almost exactly the same age as our little boy. Dylan is such a cute little guy with amazingly sweet parents. Here are a couple shots from the afternoon:

Family Road Trip!
Posted on October 16, 2009
Our little boy Declan got to go on his first big road trip from Orange County to Napa last week for Jessica Claire and Jeff Norwood’s wedding. The wedding was spectacular and such a fun time. The way up and back took a bit longer with a 7 week old but we had some fun stops on the side of the road to feed the little guy. Shot some photos of Lindsay and Declan and wanted to share some of my favorites! I took the shots with me in them by propping up my camera on top of the car and setting it on a timer. Some came out pretty fun!

This was inside a cool little coffee shop we found in Santa Rosa. Loved it.

Laura + Ryan ::: Engaged!
Posted on October 14, 2009
You know the feeling when you leave a photo shoot and are so excited to go through the photos because you just know…..this was one of those shoots. Laura and Ryan are so sweet and now I’m that much more excited for their Santa Barbara wedding in December.

Look at the clarity we got that night. There was a hint of Santa Ana’s in the air and it blew most of the smog away!

Lauren + Kevin ::: Married
Posted on October 9, 2009
Lauren and Kevin’s wedding was so special. They’re an amazing couple who laughs together more than anything else. Kevin comes from a family of musicians. Kevin’s dad was the lead for the main wedding band called the Elm Street Band, his brother and nephew were up on stage playing songs, his sister Maile is a singer/songwriter out in Nashville and Kevin himself is a singer/songwriter. The guests were loaded with talent as well. During dinner, various friends of Kevin and Lauren went up on stage and played a song for them. It was incredible.
The ceremony was held at a pretty Catholic church in Huntington Beach called Saint Mary’s By The Sea and the reception was held at the Balboa Island Harborside Pavilion. Special thanks to my brother Patrick Flynn for second shooting with me! Dottie from Cheek Couture did a beautiful job on the makeup as well!

Look at what an amazing job Melody from My Sweet and Saucy deserts did with the cake and desert table! Gorgeous.
