Brooke and Brian ::: Engagement in Laguna Beach

Brooke and Brian are getting married in late August at Rose Story Farms in Carpinteria. If you don’t know about Rose Story Farms, it is one of the largest rose producers with over 18,000 rose bushes and 120+ varieties. I’m so excited for their wedding at Rose Story!

Wiley Valentine Feature! – The Marvimon

They just put up a featured wedding of mine from Lauren and Brian’s unbelievable wedding at the Marvimon in LA. Not only do they run an amazing blog but have probably the best stationary around. Leah and Chris – The Civil Ceremony in New York

Straight from a wedding in Colorado, I flew to NYC to document the civil ceremony of Chris and Leah before their gorgeous ceremony in Cabo San Lucas at the Palmilla. I just got home from that weekend celebration and it was unbelievable! So last Monday I accompanied them to the courthouse in Manhattan to get officially married – think of this in a thick New York accent – “Bride do you take this Groom? Groom do you take this Bride? Groom, kiss your Bride, you’re married.” Tears will spilled, hugs were given then we went off to an amazing lunch at the Boat House Restaurant, on a lake in the middle of Central Park. Pretty remarkable.

Later that afternoon, I took Leah and Chris through central park and then to the rooftops of a couple buildings. i love how their photos came out. Hope you do too. Make sure to keep checking back to see their Cabo wedding:

Jill & Mac ::: Engaged!!

Jill is a good friend of Lindsay’s (and me!) and we couldn’t be happier that her and Mac found each other.  They are a perfect balance for one another, and you can just tell by the way they look at one another that they are in love!  We were supposed to shoot their wedding, which is going to be unbelievable, but they had to change their date and we were already booked, so we are sad, but happy for them!!  We really look forward to future visits in San Francisco and are so stoked for you guys.

Coldplay Video – Strawberry Swing

I’m going to be honest, I’m not the hugest Coldplay fan out there but I saw this video and had to share it. I really do like the song and I think the video is absolutely brilliant. Brides Magazine Feature!!! The Engagement Article

Brides Magazine just came out with a new issue and they did a fun article on engagement shoots. I actually love shooting engagement photos with couples because it gives them a chance to get used to the camera, we get to spend a good amount of time together, we have fun, and get amazing photos in the process. On the actual wedding day, I’m not just the hired photographer but I’m excited to see my new friends getting married and they’re excited to see me (or so it appears). Chemistry between you and your photographer make a big difference, a difference that comes across in photos. It’s really important to like the photographer you hire, someone that won’t be a drag on your wedding day. Below is the feature from the magazine. You should get it and read the whole article! Andrea and Tom ::: Married in Colorado

Andrea is Lindsay’s sister and we had the privilege of shooting her beautiful wedding in Colorado.  Andrea and Tom are such a great fit for each other, from their love of biking to the strong faith they both share.  They glow when they are around one another, and it was special to see how excited they were to get married.  It was a great weekend filled with family, friends, a great wedding party, competition and fun!  We hope you guys are having a blast in Costa Rica! Thank you for letting us share in your day, we love you!

and don’t forget the slideshow!  They danced their first dance to this song as husband and wife because they fell in love on a bike tour where they kept passing “fields of gold” and singing this song as they rode the California coast.

The McLoughlins ::: Baby Stirling at 5 months

I’ve been traveling since last Wednesday through Colorado for a wedding then New York another wedding. The day before leaving, I was able to spend the afternoon with Doug, Lydia and Stirling who’s now 5 months old. If you didn’t see the post from when Stirling was just born, you can see that clicking this link – Baby Stirling. Stirling is so cute and we got some really fun photos of the fam. Babies grow so fast! I kept thinking about how I was going to have a new baby in 4 or so weeks!! Oh my gosh.
