Angelique and Michael De Luca Wedding ::: The Biltmore

Up in Santa Barbara, The Biltmore is a renouned venue with gorgeous surroundings and is frequented by celebrities. A week or so ago, I accompanied Joan Allen to co-shoot the wedding of Angelique and Michael De Luca. You’ve probably seen some of the movies he’s produced…Blow, The Austin Powers Movies, Blade, The Mask…the list goes on. Now for Angelique. Just about the sweetest bride ever! There was hardly a moment you could catch her without a huge grin on her face. The wedding was spectacular.

Gorgeous Trip to Utah

I took the high school group from my church out to one of the families ranches in Utah for a little summer get away. The snow has finally melted out there and EVERYTHING was as green as can be. We had spectacular weather and some fun fishing. I caught around a 30inch trout!! So fun. Here are some photos to show how beautiful it was out there:

Lindsay Pregnant ::: Studio Shoot

Earlier this week, we set up a backdrop and lighting equipment in our studio for another client but decided it would be a good time to shoot some photos of my sweet, pregnant wife! I wish I could post most of the photos we shot because there were some absolutely stunning images but because of their revealing nature, they will be kept private. Here are a few I can share though. Isn’t she cute!!:

I set up the camera on a timer with a tripod so I could run into the shot! I like it.

Kristin and Evan ::: Engaged in Lake Arrowhead

Kristin and Evan are SUCH a sweet couple. Lindsay and I made the trek up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead last monday and had a blast. We were above all the June gloom down by the beach and ended up with a gorgeous day.

Evan is actually a fire fighter in Lake Arrowhead and during the last big fires, their home burned down. They’re in the process of having it rebuilt and it looks amazing so far.

For the photos, we took a little hike down a trail behind their house. Saw a deer, picked some flowers and shot some pics!

They’re a very ‘green’ couple. Evan put on his green recycle shirt and Kristin hearts pink! Here are some fun ones!

Kristin put on Evan’s fireman gear. I LOVE the real emotion in this shot.

Iron & Wine

Any Iron and Wine fans out there? I saw them a couple years back at the Wiltern in LA and they almost brought me to tears. Such beautiful musicians. Here’s a video from their performance late night with Jimmy Fallon. It’s a cover of New Order’s classic song “Love Vigilantes”. Watch the clip below:

Robyn & Ray ::: Engaged!

Last weekend I spent the afternoon with Robyn and Ray at the St. Regis for some engagement photos. It was so fun being there when it was virtually empty. We were able to take our time and shoot all over the resort. The day started off extremely gloomy, leaving me skeptical but but as we were heading out, I had Robyn and Ray pull off the side of the freeway as the sun peeked out behind a cloud. Ended up getting some beautiful portraits!

Lindsay Pregnant on Polaroids

I’ve had a couple engagement shoots back to back which will be posted soon but wanted to share a couple photos of my mom to be! One of our shoots was up in Lake Arrowhead out in the woods. We showed up a little early for the shoot and decided to play around with some black and white Polaroids (actually Fuji now) shot with my old Hasselblad. I love how these came out!
