Lauren and Brian ::: The Marvimon Wedding

Lauren and Brian had their wedding at The Marvimon in Los Angeles which is one of the coolest venues in LA. It was an old car garage turned into a hip bar/event venue that has amazing aesthetics. The Marvimon fit them so well and it made their wedding uniquely theirs! I love how eveything came together.
Lauren and Brian are a couple that became very special to us. During their engagement shoot, we really got to know them and had such a fun time. On their wedding day, we then showed up feeling more like friends than hired photographers. It’s one of the big reasons I love shooting engagement photos of couples and we definitely felt it with Lauren and Brian.

Here are some details from the day. For starters, check out these shoes!!!! Incredible.

Ruby from Tact Management took care of the day-of coordinating and Thyme catering did a phenomenal job with the catering. Lauren and Brian personalized a lot of the details themselves. For the ‘DELICIOUS’ napkins, Lauren actually bought the fabric and screen printed the word delicious on them herself (look at the post below). They also put together the entry trees with hanging photos of each guest and the table numbers as well! So talented and creative.

These next 3 or so photos were all shot in black and white film on my Mamiya 645 camera.
Jennifer from The Balm was so sweet and did an incredible job on the makeup!

This photo has such an old fashioned feel to it. The black and white film helps add to the look.

I absolutely love this photo of Lauren. She is so stunning here!

And here’s Brian getting ready for the big moment. I love the candidness of this photo.

How sweet is this look Lauren is giving his husband to be. Love it.

This is one of my favorite portraits of the day. It’s one of those photos taken in between photos when the couple totally lets their guard down and don’t realize they’re being photograph. That totally happened here and I love it!

It adds so much having the LA skyline in the background!

I took them out back for a little romantic dance under the lights. So glad we did that. This is shot with no flash at a high ISO. Couple of my faves!

Claire & Casey ::: The Slideshow!!!

Here is the slideshow from Claire and Casey’s big day. We had so much fun being a part of it. This slideshow really captures the feel of the day from getting ready, to the ceremony, to the dancing and then the grand exit with giant sparklers. Loved it! Watch it below:

Claire & Casey ::: Traditions Wedding, La Quinta

Claire and Casey are both so much fun. Their wedding was unbelievably thought through and designed to perfection. Gorgeous. Again, thanks to Tami Jacobson from All About You Events for making the day run so smoothly. So here is part two of their wedding, focusing on the ceremony and portraits this time:

Each guest was given a box with a little butterfly inside to release once the vows had been said. Very creative!

And I LOVE this shot of Casey and his dad. It was so dark in the smoking corner but I shot this with no flash at 2500 ISO with my 50mm 1.2 lens!

The Incredible Skjonsby Wedding::: Details

We had the pleasure of shooting the stunning wedding of Claire and Casey at Traditions in La Quinta, near Palm Springs.  Their wedding was so well thought out, not one detail was missed.  The day couldn’t have gone smoother thanks to Tami Jacobson from All About You Events who did another fabulous job! Love working with her!!!

The actual structure surrounding the reception area was built by Arrangements and they also took care of the beautiful bouquets and center pieces.

Can’t wait to show you more details and the portraits from the day. Claire and Casey looked amazing and the reception site got prettier as the night went on!
