Carolyn & Chris ::: The Slideshow
Posted on March 31, 2009
It’s starting to get a bit trickier editing the bit of video I’m shooting into the photo slideshows but I like the effect. It’s amazing what my camera can capture in low light. You’ll see during the reception section. It was such a fun wedding and I couldn’t believe how fun and rowdy the dance floor was. Such a good time!
Here’s the slideshow for you to view:
Carolyn and Chris ::: St. Monica’s Church
Posted on March 30, 2009
We had such a good time shooting photos at Carolyn and Chris’ wedding last Saturday. The ceremony was at the spectacular St. Monica’s church in Santa Monica. This church is so grand on the inside and out. There aren’t many that compare in Southern California.
Carolyn and Chris are both so fun, and the entire day was such a blast to shoot. Check back later for the slideshow!

Ani and Tom ::: Engaged
Posted on March 25, 2009
Two years ago in June, Andrea (Lindsay’s sister) decided to be a part of a bike ride from San Francisco to San Diego. On this bike ride, she caught the eye of Tom from Tennessee. Flirting turned into a long distance relationship, a long distance relationship turned into Tom moving to Denver (Andrea’s home town), and from there, a brilliantly planned proposal at Big Sur, one of their stops along their big bike ride.
They drove down the rest of the coast and crashed at our place late night on Saturday. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with them and shot some engagement photos while they were out in California with us. Here are a few favorites from the day!

New Studio!!
Posted on March 23, 2009
This has been a long time coming but Lindsay and I are moving and we’re getting a new studio space that we’re really excited about. Still finishing on the hardwood floors but I snapped a couple of photos to show what’s coming, to see the potential for the space and then I’ll post some photos after it’s all put together. Can’t wait!

Midnight Hour and Pawnshop Kings ::: Music Saves Lives
Posted on March 19, 2009
Last Friday Midnight Hour and Pawnshop Kings played a show at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa for the Music Saves Lives Tour. It was a concertthat has focused its main efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts and educating.
Pawnshop Kings are playing another benefit show this Friday for Guerrilla Aid. Here is the info: DownTown Santa Ana, Yost Theatre, 10pm. Should be a good one for a good cause.
Below is a couple of videos from the concert:
This is my favorite song Midnight Hour Does. It’s called “This Is Where It Ends.” I wish the sound came in a bit better but it gives you a good feel of the band and the song.
Here are two videos from Pawnshop Kings. The first video is a new song called ‘Hope is in the Air’ – I’m looking forward to syncing actual recorded sound to my video. The sound blows out a bit being that I was standing directly next to the speakers. It is still pretty good on the quieter parts.
This is one of my favorite songs they play. It’s called ‘Make Me Whole’ and has a great gospel/rock feel.

Kelly and Billy ::: Rancho Las Lomas
Posted on March 16, 2009
Kelly and Billy’s wedding at Rancho Las Lomas was so much fun to shoot. They are the sweetest couple with great friends and family. It made shooting their wedding that much better. Ally Losness, whose wedding we recently shot was a bridesmaid in this wedding which was fun as well. The wedding itself was gorgeous. The florist, The Vine’s Leaf, went with a succulent theme which I feel was perfect for the venue. The wedding was coordinated by Catherine Leo and her team keeping everything on track. The day was spectacular and here are some photos to prove it:

And here’s the slide show of the whole day!

Rocco DeLuca Record Release ::: The Troubadour
Posted on March 13, 2009
Tues night was Rocco DeLuca’s much anticipated record release party at the Troubadour in LA. He had been working with the infamous Daniel Lanois, who produced many of U2 and Bob Dylan’s albums, and came out with some incredible results. His new album, titled Mercy, has me in Awe. You need to get it or at least check it out. I shot some photos at the show and a little video. Make sure to scroll down and watch the videos!

The first video is a jam in the middle of ‘Save Yourself’. Lanois played the whole show with Rocco…that’s him in the beenie. The second video is an entire song that isn’t on either album. I would definitely watch them. How amazing is the video quality you can get with the 5D mark II!!!!!
