Seth and Dionna ::: El Capitan

Posted on December 25, 2008

Seth and Dionna were married up in Santa Barbara at one of the most gorgeous sites I have seen. El Capitan State beach has public camping but it also has incredible cabins just up the hills a little bit from the beach. Everyone from the wedding stayed up in the cabins and got to walk down this little forest path down to the beach, where the ceremony was. As the bridal party and families walked down, a bluegrass band accompanied them playing the song We Went Down to the River to Pray.
Dionna had one of the most unique, beautiful dresses I’ve seen. The whole wedding party wore boots and Seth had a killer suit and scarf for his wedding gear. What an amazing looking couple. Here are some of my favorites!

This photo with these outfits seems so timeless to me. It looks like they’re from the early 1900’s. Very fashionable early 1900’s but old fashioned none-the-less.

I was able to shoot this wedding with the new Canon 5D Mark II Camera that has HD Video capabilities. I shot a bit of video and included it in the slideshow. Let me know how you like it!

The Olson Family

Posted on December 24, 2008

It’s fun when you get to photograph families year after year. I get to really know the kids, they get to know me, and it makes the photo shoot really fun. Once again, the kids were so cute and we came away with some great candids and portraits.

Seth and Dionna ::: A Sneak Peak

Posted on December 23, 2008

This is a wedding I am so excited to post. I’m out in Colorado for Christmas with Lindsay’s family so I don’t have my usual editing equipment. The wedding was up in Santa Barbara at El Capitan, a beautiful state beach with a mountainous feel near by. The weekend was gorgeous and so was everyone there. These two photos were taken the day before the wedding and will give you a feel for the ambiance!

Kris and Cara ::: The Baby!

Posted on December 18, 2008

Kris and Cara had their beautiful baby while Lindsay and I were in Argentina. We scheduled the quickest date we could to get their photos. Babies grow so quick in the early months. Their pregnancy session came out so amazing, we took them back to a similar location with little Clayton. I’m really excited about a couple of these shots in particular.
Like this one. Look at his expression:

Kari Me Away Clothing ::: Session Two

Posted on December 15, 2008

We finished up with the entire line last week on one of the coldest days of the week. It didn’t rain but we had the umbrellas just in case. I had to run laps with the kids to get them to loosen up and not look freezing. I think these kids did a great job and we came away with some beautiful shots of the clothing and the kids. Here are a few of my favorites:

And when you think you can’t get anything more out of a little girl, I found all you need to do is give her a flowy, colorful dress. These girls went from crying to running around dancing. It was amazing.

New Website and New Logo!

Posted on December 14, 2008

So if you haven’t noticed yet, I have a new logo. I think it’s sleeker, cleaner and modern . My friends over at Clark Studios came up with the logo while they were helping me with the template for my new site. There was a huge debate on whether or not to switch logos but the new logo got the most votes. I like it!

The logo was inspired by the look of my new website. I’m really happy with how it came out. Check it out here – http://braedonphotography.com. If you haven’t figured it out yet, braedonphotography.com and braedonweddings.com will take you to the same place. My blog, which you have already found, will be braedonsblog.com. Change that on any of your saved favorites buttons.

Let me know how you like the logo and site!
I’ve had a photo shoot literally every day since I’ve been home from Argentina so keep checking back for new photos!
