Cementario de la Recoleta

This above ground cemetery was one of my favorite sites in Buenos Aires. The cemetery is the oldest in town and covers over 13 acres. It literally looks like it’s a little city of its own. The intricate design on some of the tombs and the statues were stunning. I love some of the photos I grabbed that day:

A Couple More Photos in the City

In the middle of Buenos Aires, there is this giant machine flower that actually closes at night and opens back up when the sun is out. Amazing piece of art and machinery.
Here’s a shot of your favorite photographers showing you a couple cheerleading moves.

And Justin and Sandra giving a little leap for joy.

Here’s a better look. They’ll probably be the subjects in many of the next posts while we’re here:

Buenos Aires

So we’ve been exploring every inch of the city so far. The South Americans love their parks. Couples are lounging out in every inch of shade. There was an incredible above ground cemetary (which I’ll be posting tomorrow). Today, we’re off to Uruguay to see a little more of the surrounding areas. Here are a couple of photos from our first day:

Argentina!!!
Posted on November 2, 2008
Lindsay and I just took off for Argentina with two of our best friends for a little vacation. We’re on day two in Buenos Aires, walking around all day, taking photos, and having a blast. I’ll be posting photos and updates as much as possible while we’re here. Here’s a shot from the plane window. How awesome is the reflection of the clouds on the plane wing?
