Rancho Las Lomas ::: Baby White Tiger

Posted on September 25, 2008

On Sunday, Lindsay and I went to Rancho Las Lomas for my buddy’s birthday. His family owns the place and he’s thrown all sorts of parties there over the years. They have their zoo license and have accumulated an amazing assortment of wild animals from Zebra, to ostrich at one point, to various types of parrots, and many wild cats. Among them, they have 2 bangle white tigers. While I was there, it reminded me of some photos I got to shoot of one of these tigers when it was a little cub. Thought I’d share my faves.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue, it is an absolutely stunning location in Southern California. Look them up!

The Non Headshot Headshot

Posted on September 22, 2008

So a buddy of mine is auditioning for a role in a movie but didn’t want to turn in a typical, boring headshot. So we did the whole shoot on different medium and large format polaroids. He’s just going to hand one of those in or draw on them or cut them out and use different heads. Here’s one of my favorites shot on my Hasselblad.

Janice and Andy Married

Posted on September 16, 2008

On Saturday, I second shot with Joan Allen who is a friend and amazing photographer. She’s a big commercial photographer, check that site here, and a great wedding photographer with her co photographer Bryan. Such a fun team.

Andy and Janice were the sweetest and it was such a fun day being with them. Casandra Santor was the coordinator and did a phenomenal job. The venues were gorgeous. Everything was great. Here are some of my photos from the day:

Look how stunning the Westminster Presbyterian church is in Pasadena.

This is the ceiling of the Park Plaza where the reception was held.

And some reception details:

Brett and Ana Married ::: Rancho Capistrano

Posted on September 9, 2008

This wedding was really fun for me to shoot for two reasons. The first, Brett was a buddy of mine from high school and such a good guy and the second, I have wanted to shoot a wedding at Rancho Capistrano for awhile now because their grounds are so beautiful.
Brett’s Bride, Ana, is from Spain and a good part of her family and some friends made it out to California for the wedding. The Spaniards definitely made the dancing fun!
Here are some highlights from the day and a slideshow at the end. Enjoy.

Keep checking back. I had a full weekend of shooting!

Pawnshop Kings & Greg Laswell ::: Hotel Cafe

Posted on September 4, 2008

The Pawnshop Kings are good friends of mine and incredible musicians. I went up to Hotel Cafe in LA to shoot their show along with another favorite artist of mine, Greg Laswell. Pawnshop Kings have a recent DVD they just released up on their site you should definitely get. Also, they put up two songs they recorded live at this concert. They are brand new and so good. Check them out here.

Pawnshop Kings are playing a show at the Troubadour in Santa Monica this monday. You should make it out if you can. Definitely worth your Monday night! I’ll be there shooting photos too. Come say hi!

Here are a couple photos from the night:

And this is Greg Laswell.
