Carondelet House has become one of my favorite spots for weddings lately. It feels like you're at some great home from the early 1900's, dining in the great living room, cocktail hour out in the courtyard, and the place has so much character, you almost don't need to do a thing to it.
Eric and Kelsey were married there earlier this year and it was such a special wedding to be a part of. The vows they wrote to each other were probably the sweetest I've heard (and I've heard one or two), the the real love between them was beyond evident.
I really do feel lucky getting to be a part of the weddings I'm a part of. This was definitely one of those.

It's always an honor getting to shoot photos for fellow photographers, and even more special when those photographers are friends. Gabriel and Carlie are dear to Lindsay and I and when they asked me to shoot their photos this year, it was more like, 'Duh, of course!'.
We spent about an hour or so up in the hills and came away with some beautifully sweet photos.

If you haven't seen the newest issue of The Knot magazine, go down to your local bookstore and pick it up. A gorgeous issue and I'm honored to have had one of the real weddings featured in there. I'll be posting more pics from this special wedding in Solvang, CA but here's a teaser for now:

I keep wanting to say that this was another favorite couple of mine but I find I'm saying that for everyone. The truth is, I really love the couples I get to shoot. For their engagement shoot, Kristy and Eliot were living in New York, so I flew out that way to document them in their environment. Take a look at that shoot HERE if you didn't see it.
Spending a day with them in NYC made spending the weekend with them for their wedding so much more fun. They're one of those couples that make everyone feel welcome and special. They're a blast to hang out with and their wedding was stunning.
Beaulieu Garden is a special place for a wedding. Tucked away off the main road in Napa, you pull through this incredible tree lined road into a stunning property. The wedding was incredible, planned and coordinated by Enjoy Events, Co. Loved working with these girls!!

For starters, this couple is amazing. I love the couples I get to photograph and these two rank at the top. If you didn't see them, go back and look at their engagement shoot I photographed on an old hippie compound here in LA. So much fun.
Then their wedding was a blast. Megan and Bryan met on tour as professionial tap dancers and you better believe they did a tap performance for their first dance. Bryan's strut/dance down the aisle was probably my favorite part and the element of joy and love was abounding.
Their wedding was held in Los Angeles at the Marvimon. Their planners, Gather Events, are so talented and love getting to work with them and the night was held together with DJ Smiles keeping everyone on the dancefloor.
